The BactiVac network is a network to
advance and promote bacterial vaccines. It’s funded as part of the Medical
Research Council’s global challenges research funds and it’s to give overseas
development assistance. So this really is very much involved in promoting vaccines
that are going to be a value of importance for saving lives in low and
middle income countries throughout the world.
BactiVac is a collection of experts who work in the field of bacterial
vaccinology. The idea was to get everyone together so that we can share expertise
and use that to grow the field. What we want to do is to have an ability to
share best practice to enable people to contact each other and to support the
