As an alternative for dissatisfied Republicans, rather than committing partisan 'suicide' by voting for whomever runs against Trump in 2020, they should NOW organize enough republican senators to successfully remove Trump from office. At least this would allow them to retain the White House into the 2020 election without the stench of Trump and then decide whether or not to promote Pence or choose another candidate. This would also appear to be Romney's great opportunity within the Republican party.

Thank you Rick Wilson & the Rest of the Republicans with Conscience Who have Chosen to Put Country & the Rule of Law before Party … … “A government of laws, and not of men.”

    – John Adams … … “There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.”

In wish he would discuss policy that he disagrees with. What I'm seeing out of the Republican Party is a whole lot of self interest. They hate the President but they back him because he is willing to do all of the horrible things that they wish they could do but can't without looking like monsters. He is a scapegoat for all of the worst tendencies of the party. Tell what you disagree with sir. Is it just the lack of finesse and the illegal activity, or does it extend to policy as well?

Me, my friends – and everyone I know have been asking ourselves how it´s possible for the republicans to just stand aside, watching this man dragging everything that honours their country, their party and the status of being the President of the US, into total mud..?! Unbelievable, from where we stand. So, we welcome this first step in regaining our confidence in the Americans – who we always thought of as being a ”stand up” people. Giving voice to justice, respect, decency, equal rights, human values – all the foundations it takes to build and maintain a good and functioning democracy in the free world. The great push back has begun. There will be no safe place for Trump, his party or his Evangelicals. Fox News is running other anti-Trump ads in addition to Lincoln Project. Republicans are retiring right and left. Fox and Friends are having a problem with Trump's ramblings not to mention the audience at his latest rally. Some of their faces as he was ranting about toilets and flushes were priceless. Even they are showing signs of just being bored with him.

Then there are his white Christian Evangelicals. One of their publications has just stated it is time for him to leave because he has no moral center. These are the same people who have stood as a block just a couple of weeks ago to announce that Trump is their messiah come to deliver the country from an ethnic pagan heresy.

The vast majority of Americans are letting Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham and all their Trump supporting reps know with an avalanche of calls, emails, town halls, office visits and street protests that if they don't work with the DEMS to deliver a fair, impartial, bipartisan Senate impeachment trial with witnesses and documents, they can look for their pink slips in 2020.

The Trumpsters declare they don't care about history. They don't care about laws or tradition or the Constitution but we know one thing they do care about — money and the power it brings. History and we the growing larger every day majority of American voters say that is exactly what they will be denied.

Article One of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power of impeachment and the Senate the sole power to try impeachments of officers of the U.S. federal government.

Articles of impeachment are the set of charges drafted against a public official to initiate the impeachment process. The articles of impeachment do not result in the removal of the official, but instead require the enacting body to take further action, such as bringing the articles to a vote before the full body.

BY THE RULE OF LAW TRUMP HAS BEEN IMPEACHED, SO TRUMP SUPPORTERS AND ENABLERS WILL HAVE TO JUST DEAL WITH IT!!!

Since McConnell and Graham declared an intention to disregard the Senate’s prescribed oath they need to recuse themselves.

During Clinton’s impeachment, Mitch said, “it’s not a trial if you don’t have witnesses.”

So, I would withhold the Articles from the Senate until the McConnell and Graham recuse themselves, members pledge to honor Constitutional Law and a Manger is named.

WHAT HAPPEN TO THE REPUBLICANS’ COMMITMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION, ANYWAY!!!

The Republican Party and Trump ARE OF ONE MIND, let's not forget that. He has brought to the fore what the Reps are all about – Self-centered, greedy individuals who are only in it for themselves and their filthy rich donors, people who will do ANYTHING in order to get elected and stay in power – that is the Republican Party.

Do NOT forget what Romney said in private: nearly 1/2 of us are unworthy of consideration. Do NOT accept individuals merely because they share one recognition with you. Most people are above trump's level, yet, under stress, can fail to use their evolved capacity to evaluate those who momentarily seem to agree.
We have ALL KNOWN that trump was corrupt, willing to incite violence, and profit by it.
I is NOT news that those who do so more insidiously and successfully are sidelined by such tactics as trump's.

That they preach to THEIR choir of awestruck greedy and selfish individuals may be advantageous to prosocial change. But they will immediately, and even at present intend to, force their profit- (see Bain Capital for more) predation at the expense of those they perceive as feudal peasants – about 90% or more of the US population, and as in the case of Utah, utterly destroy and exploit all living systems for their social-status/profit.

It's not Trump alone who destroys democracy – the Reps have cheated on just about every election for decades, starting with Reagan when he ran against Carter and asked the Iranians not to release the hostages until after the election. Let's not forget the gerry mandering that is going on all over the country, voter suppression, voter removal from the polls, and a number of other tricks and ruses that the Reps engage in, all to please their supporters.
